No, this is NOT some Strange Alien Planet… It’s Earth, but without Water.

HUDF 24Sept2003. “The over 10,000 objects visible are either galaxies or proto-galaxies, the furthest of which we’re seeing as they were 13 billion years ago… And all of which take up less space in the night sky than a 1mm x 1mm square held 1m away from you, 0.00000001% of the total sky.”

The Milky Way has some 300 known supernova remnants, each made of debris from an exploded star mixed with interstellar material swept up by the blast 🌟

Star trails without auto timer – I only have a basic SLR with a tripod, so I manually pressed shutter every 30 seconds for about 2 hours, and wasn’t able to avoid the teeny tiny shakes on every shot. The two bright stars in the middle are Castor and Pollux

Colourful Giant [Space Engine]

The most detailed image of the great Carina nebula I have taken to date!

In this image of Hubble the giant red nebula (NGC 2014) and its smaller blue neighbor (NGC 2020) are part of a vast star-forming region in the Large Magellanic Cloud.

Taken Feb. 22, 2021, this image from the Mastcam-Z instrument on NASA’s Perseverance rover shows the first target for analysis by the rover’s SuperCam instrument.
